This is a true story. You are free to believe as much of, or as little of this as you like. However, before making any conclusion, consider this : It took me a year to carefully gather, cross-check, analyse and follow up on emails, banking documentation, police reports and forensic evidence, as well as hard and circumstantial facts. I also took the time to go through the correct channels and escalated this case to the bank's supposedly impartial ombudsman, in the hope of obtaining an apology and some compensation. Their response was inconsistent and biased towards the branch that made the mistake. They also ignored and/or distorted every piece of evidence I presented them with. Would I go to all this trouble and then create a web site, if my story were not true ?                                                          All names and references have been changed to prevent me being unjustly sued for defamation.
